✅ SOLVED Help identifying this brass belt buckle

Can anyone tell me about this belt buckle?
I found it in Utah from what was probably a miners camp. I have a suspicion, but let me know what you think.

Agree with previous 2 posters. The back looks a bit off from the 1851, but I’m no expert.

Also, left facing eagle. Most are right facing.

Union Officers Sword belt plate/buckle. Very Nice find. Somebody in that camp was a Veteran of either the Civil war or the "indian wars"
