Help identifying??

I found this " rock" in central California . I live near the Delta river and I am having trouble identifying it..

Can't tell from your pics what is so special about it, but from your end, something must be different. I'll say chert, or possibly Jade, if you're near those California deposits. Maybe even quartzite. Really hard to tell.

Looks like a river eroded chunk of orange colored quartz.
