This was a gift a few months ago and have no information on it. Sadly the relationship ended so I'm no longer in contact to ask about it now. I'd love to know what it is and any other information. Thanks so much!!!

Interesting, I hope someone chimes in with an idea.

I checked it out, but am at a loss....sorry!!

Thanks for looking!! [emoji3]

I'm thinking maybe a scraper or knife and possibly the small end is where they hafted it onto a bone or stick. It's a nice artifact, was it found in Arkansas?

It is sharpened the same way it is made by taking flakes off it and looks like a really used up tool or knife.

This is JMO I think it is a blank tool/ celt / blade that they never got finished chipping, you can see a platform that never got taken off and the one big over shot flake makes me think they were still thinning it down. It's cool what ever it is and it is for sure an artifact. Thanks for posting

Thanks all! I'm not sure where it was found but I'm sure Arkansas is quite possible since the person who gave it to me was from here as well.
Very interesting information and I appreciate it all very much!

It could be many things but my gut is telling me it's a large Preform. If there is any wear on the larger end it could have used as a Chopper maybe to break open Bones to get to the Marrow.

Looks like an early axe or skinning tool. Just a guess based on how I would use it.
