Found this near a Civil War area in WV. If you have any ideas of what it is I would love to hear them. I thought it was an egg holder for the upper class.

looks like an incense burner with lid gone missing. Pretty old looking though.

I think incense burner also the cross holes are on those a lot.

I think that it's an antique, mid 1800's incense burner that was probably used in a church at one time. At least, that's what it was designed for...

Don't think it has anything to do with the civil war. Remember, people have been tramping around losing things in the 150yrs since then.
