I found this in Richmond, VA. I do not have much info on it but hope to find out more.
It appears to be a photograph, on a thick paper. The actual art in the photo paper appears to be pencil or painting. Very sharp in detail.
It's old. The bottom of the print has a very tiny box that says "Summer" Gen. Robert E. Lee.
Has anyone seen this before or similar? The photo is 19" x 11". Thank you.

I can't really tell you anything about t but I like it. I know that sometimes United Confederate Veteran posts sold prints to raise money. I've had a few and they were on thick acidic paper. I can't say for sure that's what you have though.

Awesome picture :headbang:
I think if was a photograph we would/should all have recognized it by now. It would be one of the most magnificent photographs ever taken, surely :headbang:

I didn't think of it until just now but it could be a wood etching. I don't know how much about them or they did them but some of the wood etchings are so well done look like photos

This is a really nice picture, and I like it! If it is a print, the picture will be made up of tiny dots. Use a magnifying glass with at least a 10x to verify whether it is a print or a true lithograph. Breezie

I'm not sure how much this will help, but I found numerous images like the one below of General Lee mounted on his war horse, whose name was "Traveller," and was light grey with a black mane.
