Help With Silver Pin

Found this pin around a 1700s cellar hole,my detector said nickle,ring so i thought it was another shotgun shell,so i was really suprized to see this pin never figured that.It looks like Pearls and blue stones on front on back it says Sterling Silver C & H CO. Any help would be appreciated.

I agree with seed pearls. Blue stones could be topaz or lapus lazuli. Topaz might have been faceted; lapus lazuli normally just round cab, like half a globe.
