The 925 means it's 92.5% silver with the rest being copper; sterling silver. The anchor stands for Birmingham, England. The lion means sterling. The "S" is a code for the date. Depending on what the "S" looks like determines the date because "S's were used for several different years.

If you could post some clearer pics of your item, hopefully we can help ID it. Breezie

DG, I really can't see the shape of the crest which surrounds the "S" so check out this chart, and it will give you the date. Breezie

:hello:

The Lion and Anchor are both Hallmarks for Birmingham, the Date is either 1841 or 1892, the pictures are a bit small and I just can't quite make out the S. :icon_thumleft:

DG, it appears to be a stretched out bottom (could be a cap) to a perfume bottle. That would be my best guesstimate. If you Google: antique or Victorian sterling perfume bottles, then click on the Images, you'll see hundreds of them. Note the shapes of the bottoms & caps. :icon_thumleft: Breezie
