Help with Spur ID?

I found today what looks like a M1859 Cavalry spur. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Yep, looks like you got the model right. Watch ebay for the Howard Crouch book on spurs and grab one. I think they are about $15.

Congrats on the super find! To dig one with the rowel intack and the whole thing unbent is very uncommon!

Very uncommon. I have a set on non dug ones some where. Great relic you have and thanks for sharing.
