Helping local fishermen really works.

Wow.....a nice boat just floatin' around! :icon_thumright:

What a great place to live!
Do locals.....(because of your legendary "tips" and bell ringing)....just walk up and give you a bottle of single malt? :laughing7:

SADS 669 · Jun 27, 2015

OV,

I wish....I have to rely on you guys for the single malt. The fisherman did give me the info though......so he'll get something......

The boat behind it looks like a boat I spent a year or so on.

Boat sold, it's not coins and gold but the hard currency will hit the bank on Monday just the same.

Found it on the ocean, turned it into cash....a result.

Good job Kevin. You deserve it, after what you went through to salvage it and fix it up.

Darren in NC · Jun 27, 2015

Congrats, Kev. You got a great ROI on your treasure than most of us. And you can talk about it, too! I'm glad it happened to you. bud.

SADS 669 · Jun 28, 2015

Thanks Darren,

I am glad to share with everyone this story, more to re iterate how important it is to help others and lo and behold all of a sudden they help you.

Normally I would keep this sort of transaction to myself but felt it only fair to complete the circle with this story of assistance to a local that benefited me.

Here is an example of the complete waist of time call...

And Some are clueless when you say...

"you might as well write this one off "... They reply "cant you just dig it out " ?

I just look and smile

... and say "So will it be you that will be doing the digging then ?"

(another example pic... extreme one)

SADS 669 · Jun 28, 2015

I met a swimming pool one day just like that in one of the estates I managed. ( after a hurricane)

It took 3 guys a week to dig it out

Great job Sads, I don't know how I missed this thread.
You deserve every dime.

SADS 669 · Jun 30, 2015

As an addition to this thread I was able to help with 8 commercial fishing boats being put back in the water from hundreds of yards inland after the hurricane,

I already have a GPS location for one ballast pile to check over so helping fishermen does work out.
