"Here starts the trail from hell"

Spent an amazing 4 days digging on the American river. Hit north and south forks. The lack of a trail going up stream from salmon falls is a killer but well worth it. It's mostly rock hopping and rock climbing the mile or so we went in. I am amazed at all the bedrock everywhere. We don't see that much in southern California. The gold is everywhere. Good areas for creviceing and the gravel holds good flood gold. We moved a few rocks and opened up a nice pocket. Have only cleaned half the cons so far, we should have a total tonight. We had a great trip and got to hang out and dig with some awesome people. Matt, Jason, and myself want to thank Goldenmojo and Goldwaher for showing us a great time. Your hospitality was over the top. It was nice to meet Aufisher as well.Thank you guys for hanging with us and digging with us as well as letting us borrow your equipment. Jason will probably have that drop riffle sluice on the east fork by Saturday. Thanks again guys. Can't wait to get back up there.

Had an absolutely great time with you guys roaming the rivers and enduring the grueling hike. Glad you were able to get on some gold. (Amazing how that gold sticks to the side of the bottle). Waiting to see what the final total is after you process that last days take and some of the gopro video. Special thanks to Goldwasher and Aufisher for everything they did. Hope you all can get back up this way soon.

Jason will be up within a month. . I'd put money on it. He might ask you to pick him up from a greyhound station! Haven't been able to blue bowl the fines, but here's what matt recovered with a cleanup sluice and a pan from our last day there.
