Heres another find,this one is the mister's

He found this yesterday next to a sidewalk in a neighborhood that has seen many years so it's a wild card what era it came from but it's thin stamped brass,about two inches long and oval in shape.Looks like part of the object is missing though to complete the oval. There is a pretty pattern on it and in the middle is a cutout area . The front of the object pic posted I think but don't think the back did.

Could be a chewing tobacco (snuff) lid. In Oklahoma we see a lot of them- cowboy's, you know. Most lids have a depiction of some kind on them- hunting scene, railroad engines, bull dogging, animals- you get it- @ anything.

Two inches aint very big, I used to dip a little snoose, and I think those lids are about 3 inches, perhaps a bit more, so my swag is a bottle lid of some sort.
