I was down at Walton Rocks (?sp) and after getting a hit under the worm rock, dug out old tobacco according to Bill Monroe at the Fisher's lab. Could it be the ship of the 1715 fleet that was loaded with tobacco? I don't know. What I do know is that everywhere there is worm rock there is a wreck. Seems the worms eat the wood and crap, which hardens and creates the rock like concretion. Of course there is no science here, just my humble observation. Another worm rock site that is very interesting is the one a couple hundred yards below the Wabasso Beach Park. Aquanut

I've had worm rocks set off my detector on the beach up here off Melbourne never could figure out why.

Makes sense, worms eat wood and it becomes rock, almost like the piece being fossilized ship.

I thought about using a sledge hammer but figured that might be frowned upon!

That's our boy Aquanut...always going for the "stealth" approach.

C4 beats a sledgehammer!
aquanut, I've been hearing rumors of a New International Organization ( The IAP ) that is out to, out maneuver unesco and Dr. Nyland. I heard that a Rep. will be at the picnic. Know anything about this ???? :dontknow:
