I dug this today in a yard. Pretty distinct symbol....anyone know it? Thanks in advance for the help!

I think its a symbol of a buckle brooch. The back looks like a self shank 20th century. Civilian fashion.

It could be as old as the 1920's. Here is a 30's self shank button patent that may be similar.
