Highwire act

Amazes me how these little guys can stay on a wire like this. If you look close you can see that this Chickadee is banded. This was shot at an Outdoor Learning Center and they band birds there twice a year. Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks Molly! Your right they are a very tame little bird and one of my favorite birds.Ive never hand fed them,but have been very close to them when shooting pictures.This picture of the bird is a little out of focus. The camera was focused on the post insted. My fault on that. I find them hard to photograph do to the black color on the head so detail in that area is usually poor on my shots. Still lots of fun to take pictures of.

Actually you caught that picture just right. The focus on the post made the chickadee stand out better. They say you should never center your subject, think of a tic tac toe square and have the subject on one of the lines, not in a square. Make sense? Great picture Van!
