I was in 7th grade then. I remember being told what happened while at school, total shock and didn't know what was going to happen next!

i wasn't even born yet but still was a sad day

3rd grade at Shoultes Elementary School in Marysville, Wa. on recess. I vividly remember the school secretary running out of the office building, her arms flapping, screaming, crying, distraught.

I was 1 and half years old, very sad day for the United States

I was a twinkle in my Daddy’s eye...

I was riding a Barber Greene asphalt paver machine building a landing strip at Russellville Arkansas airport when we were told about the event remember it well

Even though I’m Canadian we remember too. I was in grade 6 an announcement came over the PA system telling the students to go to the school auditorium. We watched it on tv in shock like the rest of the world.

In my third grade classroom, yet I still recall it vividly

I was 11 months old. Too young yet to know just how evil people can be. I do remember re-runs on our black and white tv for years of my youth.

3 years old at home with Mama. Lord, how the Democratic party has changed since then.

Before my time, but for us younger folks the equal to that would be 9/11.....

High school, 10th grade, didn't find out until we were waiting for the buses to take us home. Most of the students were crying, when my parents got home from work they were in a state of shock. I certainly agree with Sand that the Democratic party isn't the same any more. Now we seem to have only Demicans and Republicrats, nobody seems to represent or care about the working folks anymore.

I have a lot of fading memories, but that isn't one of them. I was in my 8th grade history class. How well I remember some things!

Sophomore HS Biology class.

3rd Grade at Ecole St.Jacques, Taunton MA. School was dismissed early, I believe for the first time. Walked home and found my mom crying.

I was 13 months old , we were stationed at Kadena , my first memories are of watching the funeral in black and white

In second grade. Teacher told us.

55 years ago! I can't remember what happened a month ago.
