3 silvers befor the freeze

Had to go to Norfolk, Virginia today on business so I took the Atp along. It's only 30 min from Home. I've found my new hunting grounds 😍. In 1 1/2 hours I found 1 silver less than I found all last year. The area is prone to salt water flooding so the soil is high in salt which I figure is why the silver is tarnished the way it is. Also found a really cool navy metal and 6 wheat penny's. Looks like I've found the right ground . Any ideas what type of metal it is ? Can't wait to plan a day trip!

Very nice! Were these found in the salty sand by chance?

Yes they were

I've seen silver come out of salt before but damn thats very eaten mercs not being that old I wonder if any other conditions were at play interesting to see though thanks for the post

Nice coins, putt them in baking soda and leave them for a few hours then use a wooden toothpick to remove the crust. I works for me.

Looks like your on a nice spot, shhhhh don't tell anyone lol, great digs!

The Navy medal you show is a Naval Officer emblem. Usually seen on their hats like this.
