hit the miner's camp again!
I hit the miner's camp up in the mountains again today. Despite the cold and a few snow flurries I had to hit this camp one more time this year. Last spring I found the officer's sword belt plate, eagle buttons, part of a powder flask and the serpent sideplate to an early rifle along with other goodies. Today's finds include the frame to a carpet bag, buttons, ox shoes, broken pewter spoon, cartridges, a lockplate and a brass screwbarrel boot pistol {minus the barrel} this was manufactured in New York. looks like I have to wait for spring before the next trip here, The camp sits not far below timberline and winter has hit us early dangit.
