EEEEEK, All I can think of is SPIDERS . If you're willing to hunt in that stuff you deserve to find great stuff. WTG

Re: Hitting the Briar Patch's......

Congrats on your digs...Briars are bad where I live too. I feel your pain, those patches of thorns have bled me quite a few times...HH

Re: Hitting the Briar Patch's......

Great finds, Civil. Hate the briars, even picking blackberries, but always on the lookout for snakes...briar patches seem to be their favorite snoozing spots.

Re: Hitting the Briar Patch's......

Yeah, I have a place like that too. It almost looks like someone dropped a million bombs on the place and the rain water settled it. (Hunted to death) It has, however, a strip of brush that parallels it that has potential. I think I am going to go in there with detector in one hand and pruners in another. Thanks for the push...I needed that!

Nice work, Civilman.

Re: Hitting the Briar Patch's......

Way to work out that spot Civil. You are right, you have to really get into every area bad or good to get the treasures.
I've found a lot of my coins, buttons, and relics under bushes, briar's, branches, etc. You can't afford to bypass them.
Great job on some fantastic bullets Buddy!!!

Too cold for spiders, but the ticks are rearing their ugly heads
this week. I tested a sight in between and came out with
pultabs, shotgun shell, and four ticks. Goes with the
trade, eah Joe?

Re: Hitting the Briar Patch's......

Go Civil!!

That is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Hitting the Briar Patch's......

Ooooh Ahhhhh Nice relics! Your technique is something that we'll all have to get used to if we want to find some good stuff. All the places that are easy to hunt have most likely already been hunted. "Boldly go where no wo/man has gone before" - it's the Star Trek doctrine.

Good thing TT....there's still acre's of this crap spread out on 3 diferent farm's.Never know what's gonna be in the next patch that someone didn't want to hunt. How True

Thank's for all the comment's everyone and HH!!

Re: Hitting the Briar Patch's......

Found my first dropped minnie in a spot like that. Someone had been in there (w/o permission) before I got there, I know this because they left holes everywhere. They hit all the open spots and I detected under a small tree and WOW! Congrats!
