Well Rick(NS) and I got out today to help a friend locate his survay markers. That didn't take too long and then my buddy offers to take us around and show us several cellar holes he knows about. So we spend most the day scouting out these cellar holes and marking on the GPS for future hunts when the vegetation isn't so much of an issue. While checking them out and fighting of the ticks, Rick managed to get up a nice, all be it a new model silver quarter. Great find Rick. But the find of the day was finding a large Snapping Turtle actually in the act of laying her eggs, right beside the road. Man that was the last thing I would have expected to see when I left the house today.
Getting out and enjoying nature is just as great as finding a silver coin.
