Am thinking about purchasing a rig. Any suggestions or experiential comments would be appreciated.
I am looking for a 12 volt unit that can take salt water use. Gas is not possible here in Hawaii as we have too many tourists and complaining environmentalist that would make a big issue out of the noise and operation. Loook forward to your ideas and comments.
Ringman.

I've used both and the moving around of the 12 Volt system is difficult because of the size amp battery you need. You are much better off with either a gas or electric one from a boat. It is a waste of time to use these in shallow water, like five or six feet as a snorkel is easier.

It's fun but make sure you are scuba certified.
