Hi,

Couldn't pass up a day like this...especially with 10-12" snow predicted for later in the day.

Hunted 2 hrs. wet slope and muddy troughs

Found this small ( pic is enlarged for detail) 14 K ring in one of the troughs.

GT gave off a nice solid, low tone..ring was about 6" deep

Here's pics

thanks for looking

Lorraine

Very nice ring and tasty7 looking chocolate drink--with whipped cream of course!

My son in Austin Tx is doing his first beach/surf hunt in Galveston this weekend. Any pointers.

Hope he does as well as you seem to. I see it may rain there as the tail end of these snow stores everyone else is getting..lol Chris will hate that.

Keep posting. Love to read and see your finds.

Thank you , Cntrydncr.

Believe it or not, with a bit of apparel help, it was not cold out there; with double gloves and triple "turtle necks", triple socks, and warm knee- high fishermen's boots, it was comfortable.

if I didn't have housework waiting to be done, I would have stayed out there longer .

congrats on the ring and the coco... winter hunting can be one of the best times to hunt.. minimal competition, peace and solitude. insulated cover-alls and i can go all day. once the late winter thaw hits i will go out at day break on weekends,, can hardly wait.. happy hunting..
