This is a highly specialized detector!

It is used by cutting and extending the wire leads using a piece of band-aid on each connection. Then the coils are placed inside each sock, one on each foot. Then the shoe is put on the foot and off we go a'walkin' across the lawn, listening to each BFO as they sound off in different rythms. It's a lot like listening to music as we go off into the horizon with several men in white coats following us in quick persuit, hoping desperately that they catch us before we do any harm.

Many times I thought about getting one of those electric cart deals the "physically challenged" use and fixing a detector to the bottom. Also I'd put a tiny spray rig on the bottom to mark each good hit with a heavy dose of that paint only visible to a black light or night goggles. Then on a warm summer's night when the nightcrawler fishing bait people flood the area at about midnight, I'd be out there mixed in with them pretending to hunt crawlers when I was actually digging coins.

Maybe a hole in the floor of the cart for a coin plugger?

I wonder if the guys in white coats would like to go along?

Not a bad idea Badger. I once saw a couple of guys running a self-propelled lawnmower frame with two White's 6db searchcoils mounted on arms ahead of it, like two windshield wipers on a big rig. I wonder if someone could mount a pneumatic plug cutter or revolving spade on one too? All it would take is a quick hit and the thing would pop out.

Too bad, and we were about to show that the shoe detector posted above is really the F-75 in disguise. We know this is true cause we found the facts at a website in the U.K. ;D

I've heard that further up in the NW corner of the state there are some nice gold-producing areas, and with all the undeveloped areas here I'm pretty sure there would be some nice meteorite hunting spots, too. I tend to stay around my area here on the Texas border since I don't get the chance to travel around much.

Where in KS are you? I have family in Greeley.
