How can you date a fork?

With that out of the way, is it possible to put an age/era on this fork? Looks like it was probably a bone handle.

I'm guessing early 1800's. . . or earlier. . . Nice recovery!

I found these at a fur trade, my hunting buddy found several spanish silvers (late 1700's).
Hope these photos help in dating your recoveries.

How can you date a fork?

I think you have to be a Spoon or a Knife ... Ba-Da-Boom.
