I met a guy who detects and we decided to go out for a hunt together today after work. He wanted to see my detector in action so we headed out front to the grass circle im the median. I found two v nickels right off. One was an inch deep. At this point he was done seeing my detector in action. He finds a 50's Washington right off and I find another ten minutes later. About an hour later with only copper pennies being dug we decide to finally go on hunt else where. Almost out of time we head to a site I thought I had pounded out. It was the only one close so we went. Neither of us got a signal for the hour we had. Walking out right where I swear I had swung 30 times he gets a hit. I checked it with my machine strong hit! Digs an 1833 half cent. Will post pics when I get to see it again. I dug a knob from a dresser...

That is what makes this hobby both frustrating and exciting at the same time :icon_thumleft:
