Seriously.... Most of them look like they've been run over by a glacier. :icon_scratch: You wouldn't figure sinking into the ground would be that destructive to them.

lawnmower shrapnel.

It's like seeing a Deer in your Headlights.
Ya Gotta Head straight for it !

If you've ever mowed any ditches or public areas with tall grass you instantly know where canslaw comes from. My gravely zero turn will shred then into 6000 pieces

And the mowers don't just shred cans! On another forum we have a member who hunts SoCal parks and in almost every thread he has found "cut silver".

Shredded aluminum cans are to lawnmowers as trailer park homes are to tornadoes...

The latter classified as Urban Renewal...

I am guilty of causing canslaw with my mower. Its an addiction. Anger Management toward the system.

I want to know how some get so deep... like 8inches +

We have a deposit law here , so I'm afraid the system will win if a can don't get cashed in.
I've whacked some stuff through blades though.
The garden hose ..my neighbors satellite cable , (twice... blush) rugs ,rags ,foam , and sundry items.
Now I understand why I smile afterwards.:occasion14:

I'd be inclined to agree with you guys in most cases, but I was up in the mountains this weekend, and found shredded cans in a place where I can guarantee no mower has ever been. *Twilight Zone theme song*:laughing7:

Some people feel that when they hit a can with there mower it deserves a proper bieral and what better place than the mountains. It is either that or ailians pick one.

Back when I could and did hike the wilderness, cans were knife targets, ashtrays when cut in half and wonderful to blow apart with shotguns. Even made a fishing lure once by cutting up a can I found. Didn't work though...

While everyone sleeps leprechauns come out and Destroy cans and hide them under the grass

My wife's first time on our big Toro zero-turn, she ran over one of our laying hens.
I have pictures. Sorry, can't post them. Too graphic.
