Just venting. I really wanted to get out today and go fishing. I had this vision of my husband and I tag teaming with the MD. Here was my plan:

One of us would fish while the other would MD.
If the fish were biting, we both would fish.
If the earth was giving us goodies, we'd both MD.

Now he's working on the car and I'm inside pouting. Ha ha.

Between camping, fishing and MD, I don't know how we'll manage our hobbies! We're going to have to make a schedule or something. Lol.

The spring took her good ol' time coming this year. They said two more days of crap weather and then we should be good to go. Camping season starts tomorrow.

How do you manage your hobbies??

Nice fish. Season opener on trout is in 2 weeks. Really driving me nuts because I also make my own fishing lures, and I've been dying to try a few out that I made.

Between hunting, fishing, and metal detecting, detecting usually loses out. If I can be hunting something, I am. If the fishing is good, I'll be doing that. I never really find anything too good detecting, and it really doesn't take much work to hunt / fish.

I guess you have to camp at places that offer good fishing and MD!

Just got back from camping in Red River Gorge, KY. I was planning on bringing the MD, but didn't have room after everything was packed...

Before I retired, on weekends I was up and out detecting by 6:00 am. So I could spend afternoons doing the home/life stuff that must get done. But I retired in January, so it will be detecting any time I feel like it.

I used to have trouble managing my hobbies. 35 years of so I battled it. I just couldn't understand all the people I'd see who were coaching t'ball, fishing, hunting, going to a couple parent meetings a week and attending meetings and protest to get more subsidies for schools and next thing I see them with ATVs and such while I was on my way to work. Easter, Christmas, saturday, sunday what ever I was working 7 days a week and couldn't aford all the stuff I saw others doing and having.

Then I quit working. No problems now.

"unused paths soon grow weeds"..confucious or the like.Time is the most important thing we can truly own.I have pretty much givin up t.v.as a complete waste of time that I own.I do the chore type stuff instead. When a day of leisure presents itself all my stupid chore type stuff is done and I'm gone.Yesterday took my daughter and her friends down to the desert to ride quads...was a blast.
Today,easter,more car chore stuff....then detecting.Splittin in a few mins.

If ya really want to do cool hobby stuff.and time is short...consider making t.v. time more productive. It works for me...work big hours and still m.d. and fish.

If it can't be combined with metal detecting / treasure hunting it's got to go! The whole reason I got SCUBA certified was to start underwater hunting. Never knew it would become it's own passion.

The only thing that interferes with my MDing is that dreaded thing called Work. Almost 60, so not to many more to go.
