How long and hard to locate owners

Hi hoping to find loads early next year. Just wondering how hard you guys look for the owners and how long.

Just looking to do the minimum unless its an especially sentimental piece I find.

Depends on the potential of the site, I was tracking down a local ghosttown, and went into the taxpayer records to find the owner(then had to hunt down his phone #, it was actually kind of fun). It all depends on how much it's worth to you.

I will work until I get the "go head”! Just one benefit of a smaller community.

Are you talking areas to hunt or found items??
The only time i try to find the owner is if it class ring or something expensive..I also keep my eye on newspaper ads to see if some one has posted a lost item add.
As far as areas to hunt i will keep looking until i find the owner and ask permission.
