Detector(s) used
Ace 250
I just got permission to detect a farm built in 1805- it was a stage stop along one of the main roadways of that time period. It has an old stone house, a few out buildings, a barn and about 11 acres. The original roadway is still visible cutting through the field. They found all kinds of arrowheads out in the fields as well!

It was detected previously, but probably 20 years ago...how discouraged should I be because of the previous detecting? I have no clue what the MD technology was like 20 years ago, how would my ACE 250 stack up?

Thanks,
Ryan

think of relics --lots of old time hunters only cherry picked the silver signals -- leaving old cents (copper) and relics (iron) behind --and since their old style machines had trouble with telling aluminum / gold apart -- they might have skipped some gold too.

Ryan, it is good to hear that you got permission for a GREAT spot. Even if it was hunted, it doesn't mean that there aren't any deep coppas or old wilver waiting to be found.

No matter what, remember to go slow and listen for those deep readings.

I am looking forward to your finds!

Kyle

Your Ace 250 is probably 10x better than anything 20 years ago. Even if it wasn't, NO place is ever hunted out. Go slow and overlap while gridding out an area... SLOW DOWN. Silver will come your way :)
