How much silver is in an average piece of flatware?

I found a pawnshop where there are two sets of silver flatware. Both appear to be sorta incomplete. One has about 10-15 pieces, and is marked 29$, the other has a few more pieces and is marked 39$.

Worst case scenario if they are pure sterling silver (and not concerning any collectible value), I am wondering how much silver is in each spoon, fork or knife for melt value.
My coin dealer I sell my bulk Kennedy halves to also buys silver in any form, and I am wondering if I might have a possible good deal waiting for me.

Any info would be appreciated.

Look at the underside of the flatware, if it says sterling or 925/1000 it would be a good buy. Sterling is 925 parts pure silver and 75 parts copper for rigidity. If it says IS or EPNS or nickel silver, I would'nt get it myself, unless it was a complete set and in nice shape. There is only a thin coating on the first two and no silver in the nickel silver.
Also beware if it just says Sterling Co. Hope that helps ya a little.
