how often do you have to ground balance a vaquero?

i currently have an ace 250 with automatic ground balance and will be getting the vaquero which has manual ground balance. to vaquero users, how often during the hunt do you have to ground balance? is it often or can you set it just once or twice during the whole hunt? thanks in advance for any replies!!! dan in so cal

depends on how the mineralization of the terf is as you go if you start getting false signals or eratic behavior or different things just recheck to make sure!

The Ace does not have automatic Ground Balance. It is factory preset which is fine for most of the locations but bad in others.
As for how often would you need to GB a manual machine, this would depend on how fast the minerals change. I've seen areas where you can set it once and about forget it and others where you had to check it every few feet for best results. Don't worry about setting it either as it takes seconds. A couple pumps up and down while in all metal while adjusting the GB knob and your done. I is harde to get a beer out of the fridge.

I GB at every new site or every couple hours if I stay in one area. If I hit a pea gravel tot lot, I GB over the pea, then again over the ground. It's getting easier as I go.
