how to clean buckets

i got some buckets from a friend and they did have hydraulic oil in them. they were rinsed well with a water hose but they still feel oily. is there any way i can clean all the oil out of them so it doesnt make my gold float?

I wold not use those buckets no matter how many times you washed them. Oil has a way of leeching out. Buy new.

clothes detergent. Don't use buckets for any food or drinking water
