When I take my ace to older parks my detector jumps all around and I'm not sure if I should dig or not. I know I'm supposed to dig everything, but some parks have so much in the ground I'm unable to figure if I have an accurate ring or not. Anyone have any tips on how to hone in on what is the target and not trash.
Thanks,
DB

Gooooood thread. When I find a area that produces and is loaded with trash I clean everything out.

I dont think there is a right way or a wrong way to hunt the trashy places , you got 2 choices leave or just get down to buisness an start clearing it out , once its cleared your find the good stuff , the good side to all this is tho that if its this trashy most folks will run when they realize how trashy it is cause they wont want to put in the work to clear it .Ofcourse this meens they have left all the good stuff for you .work it work it work it :icon_thumright:

Know your detector... small coil is key.

Dig only consistant, repeatable, solid and steady signals. If it's jumpy - move on.

Or - dig everything.

There are really too many variables to consider beyond that basic advice IMO.
