This is how I do it. We start down in one of my lode gold mines and dig out an old collapsed adit.
Many people ask me how to find gold and the simple answer is; start digging where gold has been found before!
In this particular mine, we have at least 7 individual veins.
With some basic geological knowledge and the drive to keep searching, you CAN FIND GOLD!

Well - yes. The easiest place to find a new mine, is an old mine. Prospecting old adits is a very valid strategy.
