How to get started

Hey Guys! I've been checking out this site and it looks like a Lot of fun! I was thinking about getting a metal detector ( if thats what u call them)...I currently coin collect. I was wondering what models of detector u recommmend. I live in a beach area...and would loveeee to find coins, bottles etc. How much do the machines go for..and where can u get them..any recomendations are welcome! Thank You!

Hi, welcome to the site. A good all-around metal detector would be the ace 250...most old coins are found inland though

Theres alot of research on various sites on this sight to learn from the pro's. I was on here a year before I bought anything. Good luck and enjoy this fantastic hobby.

Beach hunting is fine but usually the older coins have been wasted by the salt. Inland is where the good coins are. Unless you're looking for "ATOCHA" finds. Ace 250 is best all around for a beginner. Lets see some posts! GOOD LUCK and WELCOME HOGGE
