How to make friends at the bank

I went into a bank near work in business park about a month ago asking for halves and Ikes, and the Vault/merchant teller over heard. He told me that he had just sent the few he had back to the sorting faciity the day before because no one ever asks for them. He told me that next time, he would save them for me, and I gave him my name as we exchanged pleasantries.
Today I walk back into the same bank, and lo and behold, he had been saving the halves for me. Unfortunately, they were all clad, but he sure was excited that I came back for them. Of course, I took the halves in spite of them being clad, because I know that if I keep this guy happy, he'll either offer to order a box for me, or continue holding the halves they get in normal business for me. Eitherway, I'm bound to get some silver out of the deal eventually.
I consider this 'cultivating a crop'.

Absolutely. The clad can still be exchanged for face value, so you're only "out" your time. The silver will come.
