This is about 5 by 12 inches and seems to be made out of the same material as a license plate. There are squigglies on each side of the plate and it says "Hudson" on the top. One side says "Pat" and the other side says "Pending". Was this from a car and where would it have been on the car? How old do you think it is? I found this in our back yard (114 year old farm house.) PS-I also found a 1938 Illinois license plate in the same vicinity. Thanks for any ideas.

I think you are correct, DIG-N-VA. I found this after googling your idea: xl51d41432.webp With this description: "Embossed sheet metal pan. Markings say "PAT PEND. HUDSON". Hudson, Colorado is about an 90 minutes away from location. Perhaps a tray for collection cinders from a stove? The tray slopes slightly towards the embossed end."

That's what i was thinking, a cinder/ashtray.

When i get a better camera, i'll be better able to put up pics that are clear of my finds :)

I found a part of old woodstoves top in my back yard LOL

Happy Hunting! :occasion14:
