Huge erotic bronze sculpture need help identifying..

As the title says huge say 5 and half foot long and about 3 feet wide meant to hand on a wall it looks like sculpture of a women streched out bare chested and bound and gagged..

i have a makers mark but i cant make it out.. says 3/3 *name* 76

thanks for any help.. i got it from a guy that owed me some money he says its worth a lot and said a name but i forget what was.

Lighten up. There is nothing offensive about this piece that should cause anyone to shield a kids eyes from. Any kid wanting to look at something pornographic would certainly not come here to do so.

read what I wrote before deciding I needed to "lighten up"?

I realize that it is "art", but as a family site there may be
some members that wouldn't approve of the full body pic.

Did not express my own opinion in any way Gopher, I simply put forth the theory.

My personal opinion is that it's an incredible piece of art, and I sincerely hope
it has the high value as suggested. It's definitely beyond my pay grade!

Dizzy its cool.. i did try to use the tags to hide the picture and they do not work on this site in any form.. i have kids and thats the reason i tried..

but yea i hope its worth as much as every one is saying.. but i also would like a reputable source to go to that deals with this kind of art to have them look at it..

Interesting piece, but I'm pretty sure my wife wouldn't want it in our house, either.


I did a little research on the artist. I'm guessing that the model for this piece is Beverly J. Berrish - Battenberg's wife in 1976. She modelled for a number of full body cast bronzes for Battenberg.


She might be interested in knowing about the piece. She is an artist in California and appears to have a Facebook page. If she's not interested she might know someone who is. Or she might give you scrap value for it just to see it melted down. :-)
