Went out to Tilly's Hill for awhile this morning to take advantage of the cool morning . I was finding a lot of broken points and heat fractured rock and broken manos . Maybe a hearth area anyway I found a nice Rose Spring point made of basalt and a few other bird points . A little crystal and a crystal bird point . A mano / hammer stone and a nutting stone ? Are you digging all of these by hand? Looks like a good day and it was in the 90s here very hot.

Nice points and tools ! Gotta love those crystal points. Are most of your recently posted digs from the same site/age, if so what general time frame are those artifacts from? Thanks for posting, and HH.

Nice points and tools. Question: Are you saying that they used the "sided" quartz crystals to knapp into points? Never thought of that. Here on this side of the country I'll occasionally find "sided" quartz crystals completely out of context amongst other "worked" stone (some of it a pinkish amethyst) and never considered that they might have been collected to be used for eventual points. Thanks for sharing you're finds.
