Hunted two locations today, an old Lutheran church that closed a few years ago that has about an acre or so of field around it and an athletic field that used to be the site of an old farmhouse a century and some ago. The athletic field was a huge disappointment, barely any clad (but plenty of can slaw), but the church yielded the best finds. I fully intend to go back to that church and grid the field properly at a later date :icon_thumleft:

Spoon and an old handforged (I believe it is, anyway) chain

Are these buttons? That was my first guess. They all have a little floral design in the center.

Key says "Independent Lock Co. Fitchburg, Mass", a 1954-S nickel, 1937 & 1944 wheats (finally!)

$1.16 in clad

An intact, non-impacted rifle bullet. Any ideas to caliber? I was thinking .30-.06 or .30-.30, but this church is in a residential neighborhood across the street from a fire dept.

I have found alot of the copper roof tacks show up as a wheat penny.

Ah, copper roof tacks and not buttons? Okay, explains a bit, I remember some years ago when the church's roof was redone, a few years before it closed. Makes sense, I found them under the eaves near the front door. Whenabouts were these tacks phased out and replaced with nails?

The place where i find them was built in 1901.

Ok... Any ideas on the caliber of the rifle bullet?
