Huntin' in 2013

Picked up two CWR of halves + $8.00 in loose halves.

Found two 90% Kens in the CWR, one in each roll.

Good start to the year.

I've been seeing a lot more Jamaican coins as well over the last two weeks. Strange.

I dumped dimes yesterday and picked up $250 more of MWR halves, from the same bank as the other day. Skunked.

So, I dumped the dimes that I picked up yesterday. Printed out my receipt and took it up to the teller. That's when I noticed that every one of the dimes was counted as a cent. The slip read $25, not $250.

I went over to one of the customer service people, a lady, and told her that the machine miscounted. She went over to the machine, checked the cent bag to see that it was full of my dimes and then directed a teller to give me the $250.

Never have I had every single dime counted as a cent. At first I got that feeling you get when you're ripped off, but there was no way I was taking a $225 hit.

Picked up two boxes of halves yesterday, both skunks.

That puts me at thirteen boxes of halves for the year so far, with just one 40%er to show from them. :BangHead:

Found two 40%ers in the box of halves: 1967 & 1968D.

About 2 monthes ago i was at my bank looked over the counter like i always do and scored a 40%rr i love the way the beautiful silver stands out.. later on a co worker had sum loose odd coins i scored a 1945 merc and a 1950 g germen coin,he only wanted $3 so i threw him a fin and had a good day..

Have picked up about $700 in CWRs and loose halfs, 5 - 90% and 12 - 40%. Will admit the numbers are skewed from one out of the way bank where they told me they had been saving the $270 I got in their vault for quite some time, the $270 produced a majority of the silver.

Picked up two boxes of dimes + $11.50 in loose halves today on my lunch break.

Scored two 40%ers from the loose halves: 1968D & 1969D!

The boxes of dimes will be searched after work.

Just finished searching two boxes of halves. First box was a skunk, but the second box gave up a 90%er: 1963D Franklin!

Picked up two boxes of dimes yesterday; one was solid 2012P, the other gave up one Roosie: 1964.

EDIT:

That was my 103rd Roosevelt dime.

I've also found five Mercs. So I've found 108 total dimes in just shy of a year's time. Don't even know how many boxes it took.

Dimes are my edge in this game. From what I've gathered, most of the big volume hunters in my area hit halves and quarters hard. Most are older gentlemen (at least +15 years or so on me) with a couple of old ladies here and there. So, I've noticed that they don't bother with dimes as much.

I wish I would've kept track of how many boxes of dimes I went through over the last year.

Anyway, I picked up a box of halves earlier today. It was a skunk. I'm gonna dump these and see if I can get a couple more boxes of dimes to sit down with tonight.

EDIT: picked up only one box of dimes after dumping the halves, it was a skunk.
