Things seem to be a little slow right now, so I'm posting my beloved hunting buddy. Please share yours as well!! Her name is Honey, and she goes with me everywhere... we hunt artifacts, sheds, mushrooms, metal detect, canoe, smallmouth and catfishing... Shes not a "hunting dog" by some peoples standards, but I beg to differ... She is is truely one of my best friends and definatly my best hunting buddy. If you wish, please post your dog or cat, wife, bff or whatever your proud of and simply enjoy spending time with, after all thats what makes it great!! This is my dog I just had to put down a few weeks ago. I still have 2 others but this one was a favorite. He was 14 going on 15. He had a area below his ear that was enlarged. I thought he had a ear infection, it was cancer. He also had kidney stones, I didnt know male dogs could get them. The vet said he would have to operate for the stones but the cancer wasnt a sure thing as to how long he would live. So for his sake I said to take him. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. He was such a good dog and my best friend.

Not sure what to say Rock, but i'm very sorry, I've been there. Makes me very sad just reading this. It seems we all have more in common than what we may have thought. Take care my friend, HH.

My dog is a versatile hunter as well. I only hunt quail, but have used her to track deer as well. I had to stop deer hunting on my own property due to cry baby deer hunters around here. She will also retrieve ducks. Your dog is a similar breed to mine. The Griffon, Drahthaar, and wire hair are all hard breeds to distinguish. What kind is yours? Here is my "Birdy" again!

I also have a German Shepard, but can't get a pic of her. Just a blurr. Lol! Geez I love my animals.
She's a Deutscher Wachtelhund
