Well, Last week you couldn't get a shovel in the ground around here. Now it's rained some of yesterday and most all of today. Luckily it stops for an hour or two now and again, so it's running off some. But, the ground is definitely getting saturated. I'm in Alvin which is a little south of Houston. So, the worst is yet to come. I've been through them all and never left and I'm 47, but this one looks like we very well might flood. Dang I hope not.
Hoping for the best.

Be careful.. Last year I had to deal with Hurricane Matthew so I know it can be scary!! Hope you get through fine..

Hope your place is somewhat elevated. Weather people were comparing it to Katrina. But they may not be right. Problem looks to be it's moving VERY slowly.

Okpych, we were waiting to close on our house on Florida's coast when Matthew came up the coast. We evacuated to a little west of Tallahassee, and were not sure we'd have anything to come back to. Fortunately, no damage and though the closing was delayed a few days, all went well.

....I'd like to share a website that anyone can use .
Lightening maps .com
With the easy tool bar you can even "see" thunder....Looks like smoke rings !
It is safe !
See Lightening maps or Live lightening maps .

Mark.

We'll I'm still here. Power flickering. Bayou out of it's banks. More rain coming...15 to 25in. A lot of people already flooded out. As long as I'm not flooded out...try to load some pics next week. On phone now. DISH has been out since yesterday. Hope everyone is safe!
