I.A.H SILVER RING....."I AM HIS" ?

I got out with my dig partner today. I found a ring that has "I.A.H" on the front between a couple of decorative wreaths. I found a couple google articles saying it was a Christian ring meaning "I Am His". I saw too where it said it was a promise ring from a boyfriend. Any thoughts to what I.A.H stands for?
Thanks!

Good one! I did mean that the initials were between decorative wreaths on the ring.
I do remember reading a treasure story a bunch of years back about a guy finding a gold ring with a finger bone still threaded through it.

I.A.H. was some type of Christian youth organization. I grew up in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and remember the rings were given out in Sunday school. That would have been in the mid 50's.

Well, this is what I found, probably the same thing you found-

Hello,
My mother has a sterling silver ring that she got from her Aunt. The ring belonged to my mother's grandfather. It's estimated to be about 75 or more years old. They lived in Crump, Missouri and he was a farmer. The ring has leaves engraved around the ring and the initials, I.A.H. are on the top outside of the ring. Inside the ring it says "sterling". I am wondering what I.A.H. might mean and if it's worth anything.
Thanks!

This may be a church related ring. The initials may stand for I Am His. Once sold by David C.Cook out of Elgin, IL. This company is no longer selling them and doesn't have information as to the value. David C. Cook began the company in the 1800s as he started printing Sunday school material. Cook has been in business for over 130 years as one of the leading publishers of Sunday school material.

My brother has what sounds like the same ring. He got his for not missing Sunday School for a whole year. He told me the initials stands for I Am His ( in regard to Jesus). Hope this helps!

While metal detecting at a school built in 1888 in Boise, Idaho, I found a similar ring. The leaves and initials IAH are ornate and well crafted. I was curious how old this ring was. I found it about six inches down, wher I normally find pennies from the 20's-40's.

My grandmother had the same ring. It was passed down to me and our house was just broken into and it was stolen. Its the only think I care about that is missing. The initials I.A.H. stands for I am His. My grandmother bought it when she became a Christian.

"There in the ground, His body laid,
Light of the world by darkness slained.
Then bursting forth, in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!

And as He stands in victory,
Sins curse has lost it's grip on me.

For
I am His and He is mine,
Bought with the precious blood of Christ."

This is indeed a religious symbol ring given to me years ago by the Latter Day Saints Church where I belonged to a summer, teen group. It was Sterling Silver, and I have no clue whatever happened to mine.
I am now 73 years of age, and this was a real memory from the past. The teens were asked to attend several weeks for a teaching of basic religious principles, and at the end of probably a six-week time frame,
each of us was sent this type of ring through the mail. I wore mine proudly for a good many years.:hello2:
