Not sure what to think.
I recieved my 2nd detectore in the mail thinking I might find a outlaw treasure. 2 weeks deep I found 12 silver morgans 1879-1885. I dont know what to do?!

The tree deformities can be characteristic of open-grown (in a field) trees. The cut branches are likely a result of pruning. The marks on the first and second trees look shield-shaped, with the point on the bottom. They could be bark scars from harvesting naval stores (resin) from the pines. The bark is cut through, the resin runs down the sides of the cuts and into a can at the bottom of the mark. Just a guess.

Yea I think my imagination is getting the best of me. Sadly I am starting to feel more realistic. Even thinking this could have been a set up. Who knows. I plan to leave this place alone and keep hunting.
