I am sure we have some Vets out there....what service

May 1975- April 1980 U.S. Navy TD2. Four years Pensacola (Year and a half NAS P'cola/ 1 yr USS Lexington with 5 days monthly at sea in the gulf of Mexico/ 13 months Blue Angels mostly waxing aircraft lol). 9 months in Millington TN and 4 months San Diego, for school. Great experience. They held my seperation 4 months until the Iranian hostages were released. Reagan was gonna slam-um!!

Hi Jim in Idaho, I was at Keesler about May 1968 and shipped out in December, originally an X1, trained at the I.G. Farben in Frankfurt to 202.....Joe

Hi Joe,
I just missed you. I got to Keesler about the end of May. Maybe even the first week of June '68. I was there for radar tech training.

I was borne a swabby and miss every damn minute of it - but there is life after the Navy - dangerous job I have - adrenalin pumping - may break a finger nail on keyboard at any minute....

My hats is off to all who serve and those that enable others to serve!!!

US Navy 1969-1973. NAS Albany, Ga. Nas Adak, Alaska, NAS Lemoore, Ca. and ended my four years on the USS Enterprise CVAN-65 in the Tonkin Gulf. Then I became a firefighter and retired from that job after 30 years.
My thanks to all who have served, serve now or serve in the future!
 

Active duty Navy! 2003-present. Currently assigned to USS Enterprise and recently returned home from the big E's final deployment!

USN 67 to 77. AT-1, Airedale Tweety. Did some ASW Flying and was on an Admiral's personal aircrew. NAS Jax, Andrews AFB, NAS Miramar, Alvin Callendar Field - New Orleans. Oh yes...Rat Center Mucus! If you were there, you understand. My Dad flew in seaplanes in WW-II out of Norfolk Virginia. Strangely, my name is on the Wall in D.C. It was a cousin from Missouri who was a Marine with the same name.
