What's new

I am unlikely to find gold since I hate digging pulltabs... but!

My second silver in 2 hunting days. New record for me by far.

Started at 5am this morning, by 8:30am when the heat chased me off I had found that and 65 coins ($8.77) The oldest quarter is 1965, one year from silver, but I can't complain I did find silver. The piece of Copper pipe there made me think it was a big ring for a second when I dug it, heh.

Nice hunt with the clad and congrats on the silver! The ring looks to have some age to it. HH, Mike

Just dig your nickels and you might be surprised!!

Good Luck!!

I will dig solid nickel signals, but I admit I cruise through a place dig everything that isn't a penny or pulltab signal. I'm try to get used to the sounds again tho and stop looking at the numbers, heh

The silver ring came up solid as 50c on the XLT, i'd have dug that come hell or high water :) Love those "blow your ears off" signals even if it's trash.

Sorry you don't dig pennies. Couple weeks ago I dug a penny/dime signal and found a man's 14K wedding band...I nearly fell over. I have a White's M6 so I'm guessing that the signal isn't that much different than the XLT. Out of 2,438 coins this year 1,583 were pennies, but I've gotten 25 rings (most of them no good, but some are). You really should "waste your time" digging the pennies. ;D That's a nice heavy ring you found there!

Nice ring.

I'm always conflicted on the dig everything, dig everything not iron, only dig good signals. Still more to learn I guess. :D

HH.

Always dig the pennies. I have found 1917 wheatie just the other day sicking out of the ground on the surface. I also dug a IH at 1" about 3 weeks ago.

You guys have to remember that during the summer it's a race against time before it hits 115+ during the day, heh.

And I guess I feel more "satisfied" with larger coins. Depends how trashy or old an area is too. The park I was at today was a total mess of pulltabs & bottlecaps.

Congrats on the nice ring!! Well done and congrats.
I guess if your digging in rock hard dirt, it's a pain to dig the pulltab signals,
but in the woodchips, put er on all metal no discrimination and dig it all.

Yes you'll digg some trash...
from this weekend

To be honest, I enjoy finding silver more than gold because I like silver.

Gold would be worth more to sell certainly, but my GF wouldn't wear gold :D

looks like you found some nice stuff anyway. I still dig everything but of course I don't have a screen that tells me what might be there! ;)

Sell the gold and buy 10 pieces of silver for the GF...lol

Nice bunch of coins. Great ring

Looks like you had a great hunt, but if you want the gold I would do just a Boobydoo says. Don't disc out any metals and dig it all. Trust me, it is working for me...and quite obviously BooobyDoo. SHEESH

Happy hunting

Nice clad haul and ring. I don't like digging the pull tabs either. Silver rings show up like silver coins on my machine so I get 'em. Gold is harder to come by. One of these days.....
