Did a short hunt in a field near me that research indicated could be good. Field is full of iron so thats somewhat encouraging. My second hole though was the most encouraging sign. Excellent condition with some minor plow damage on the reverse. I wanted a Barber quarter bad and told myself that 2016 would be a good year if i dig one.

Big time congratulations, especially when the keen research bears fruit.

Very nice and cleaned up well too. I also have wanted to find one of these for awhile. Little jealous as its freezing here and the ground is to hard to dig.

First couple inches frozen in some spots here too but slightly warmer temps coming

toasted,

Good score on the barber.

Great way to kick off the new year, awesome barber quarter, a coin that has eluded me, got dimes and even a half, still no quarter

Great job!

Lots of detail, cool :occasion14:

Congratulations on the Barber quarter. Love the eagle on the reverse of those coins.

That's a great 1st silver for the season and it is extra special when it's also a bucket list coin. Congrats. :occasion14:. My 3rd silver last years was my only Barber Q I have ever dug. Your's is in way better condition than mine.

It feels great to get that monkey off your back. Its extra special cause its the first of the year and in a new spot and the condition is far beyond the majority of all Barbers posted

Great job!

The only coins now left on my bucket list that I still think I can get are Ben Half, Barber Half, Seated quarter, and hopefully a trime

Very well done. That coin has killer detail! Somebody dropped that one really quickly. That was a good bit of money in 1911. Oops!

I only have on Barber quarter, a 1911, like yours, but it looks more like Loco-Diggers, a bit worn.

Best of luck in 2016.

Sweet coin & congrats on getting it off your bucket list. The Barber Quarter was one coin on my list ( years ago ) that had eluded me for quite some time before I finally found one.

Not just a Barber quarter, but a very nice one.

Excellent find.
It's always nice to come home with a Bucket Lister
Congrats

Gotta give a congrats on a beautiful coin like that, and to smack it from researching too... Thumbs up all year long

I got my first one last year... Was my first 1800's silver and first barber quarter... 1899: condition;loco digger :tongue3:

A real beauty!
I would've for a Barber anything this year.
