I Don't Believe it!...I Don't Believe It!....I Don't Believe It!.....

This can't be true! Two weeks ago I found my first seated liberty half dollar after 29 years in the hobby! Today I found my second! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would find two seated halves in two weeks!
Today I changed to a 10" coil from my usual 8 incher and it paid off big. A good signal at 7 inches in a park that has been pounded by 500 other detecorist gave me this great find. I've been hunting this part of the park for years with my 8 inch coil, I must have walked over this half dollar at least 20 times! Also dug up a buffalo nickel and 4 wheaties. I will return!

Isn't that the greatest feeling! Big congrats!

Let's put it this way most times in my experience it has..I have used 10",12" 15" and 18" DD coils and each one was deeper than the smaller one,,,,

wow that's awesome. congrats!

Success comes on its own schedule. You just never know what you could find next. Congrats on another terrific coin.

Yes, I agree. One method I use is to try and clean out the area with the smaller coil. When you do this it helps eliminate some of the target masking that may effect the larger coil. It's not unusual to have a 4 inch deep glad quarter directly above a silver coin that is below it at 7 or 8 inches. The smaller coils sometimes won't pick up the deeper coins, especially if they are on edge. When you go back with the big coil you will have a better chance of picking up the deeper stuff. I've air tested the 8 inch versus my 10 inch and the difference is about 2 inches extra depth with the big coil. Does this translate into ground performance? There is some debate on this, but my experience tells me think it does.

Sweet. Congrats

You earned it after all the years you've been in the hobby bro, concrats!!
