I was digging up a root at the front corner of my house and I dug up a silver coin!

Cool find my friend! Makes *ME* jealous! <smile> I rarely if ever find older coins. And the larger coins I find are all newer as well. I'm not complaining though.

Nice job :icon_thumright:
Keep digging up the yard until you've covered every inch ;D

But wait theres more...

On the opposite side of the house I had to dig out what I thought was a spring but was really just an old busted pipe. During this dig, before it got serious, I found the following in the dirt pile as I scooped it out of the muddy hole:
1928 Mercury
1934 Mercury
1936 Mercury
1936 Wheat
1904 IH

I was still looking but the pipe actually burst and I had to handle that.
I don't own a metal detector...well...I have one but it's a freaky thing.
Bounty Hunter something. Wiring is screwy.

The half dollar is a 1935.

My favorite US coin. The prettiest of them all IMO. Congrats!! :hello2: ;D

I have a nice Garret Ace 250 I will sell you for $175, shipped to your door!

;D

Way to go, half dollars are always nice to find. I found one last week a 1939S. Maybe I should post it. :laughing7:

Dude, you need to try metal detecting your yard if you're making all of those finds by eye. Good grief. :o Great eye!

Nice find. Need any help detecting your yard. I sure you could find someone to help you.....Matt
