It was on the free table - I just switch 2,140 minutes from my dumb phone to it . It works great !
However It would not text , so I paid $5.00 to tracfone for 1000 texts .

I'm paranoid. Having said that, did you reset the phone to factory specs? There's always the possibility that someone has the phone rigged to send a copy of any new information on the phone to a remote device. Not a huge issue unless you use it to log into a secure website and/or use your credit card to buy something.
 
Yes , I gave it a hard factory reset .
